Just putting up pictures of a major interstate after a HALF INCH of snow. In a snowy area of the US.
And yes, I was stopped at the time I took these. There were probably 7 cars off the road in the previous 30 miles, this wreck at my exit, and two other median-bound semis within the half mile I could see past my exit. Past that, traffic was totally stopped (not even stop and go), so I assume there were more wrecks.
Stay inside and get drunk.

To be fair, if you get that little snow it can easily become icy, so it's not snow but black ice that becomes the issue. Coming back from the Chicago Auto Show yesterday we hit similar conditions, and it got so icy that the car in front of us rear ended the truck in front of them while we were all going 10-mph.
So yeah, I agree with your last statement, stay inside and play Drunken Bathurst.

This is the reason why my mother doesn't want me to drive in the snow.

I agree, don't get me wrong. But I encountered no ice, and had no traction issues on my not-so-winter-friendly all seasons. Granted, trucks are different, but this should more serve as a warning to all drivers.
And the liquor stores in PA are mostly not open on Sundays, and only till 5 anyways :(

Remember that time everyone laughed at the south getting an inch of snow and chaos ensuing? Oh that never happens up north right? Karma
Not at op, but the bad drivers who crashed
